Greenwood City Courthouse
Stand in solidarity with immigrant families and demand an end to the detention and deportation of nonviolent, law-abiding community members. Shine a light on the erosion of due process and the rise of authoritarian overreach. Justice, compassion, and the rule of law must apply to everyone—regardless of immigration status. This will be a peaceful, family-friendly event featuring community speakers, moments of reflection, and opportunities to take action. Please bring candles, signs, and your commitment to stand with those whose rights and dignity are under threat. Public parking and bathrooms are available in the adjacent Greenwood Community Center until 8 pm and adjacent Craig Park until 10 pm. Since the Court House is closed at this time we should not park in their lot. Registration is not required, but further information is at that URL.
Plan upcoming events. All LWVJCIN members are invited to attend.

This webinar is about Indiana‘s new citizenship check laws and their impact on Hoosier voters who are naturalized citizens. These laws, which went into effect this year, may misidentify eligible voters as potential noncitizens. This webinar aims to ensure that immigrant voters and the organizations that serve them understand how the laws are being implemented and how to support affected community members. It is hosted by Hoosier Asian American Power, Exodus Refugee Immigration, Common Cause Indiana, and League of Women Voters of Indiana. Register at the above link.
